Pre Tribulation, Mid or Post Tribulation Rapture
As Christians, we live in exciting times as we watch biblical prophecy unfold before our eyes.
And so, we hear more and more about the rapture. Some place it at the end of the Tribulation, making it one and the same event as the Second Coming. Others place it in the middle of the Tribulation. Still others believe that it will occur at the beginning of the Tribulation.
God felt it was so important for us to be alert and watchful for his coming that he reminded us several times to be ready.
Matthew 24:42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming."
Matthew 24:44 "For the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.
Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone."
Matthew 25:13 "Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour."
"Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (KJV)
The last trump is a term used for the last trumpet blown during the Feast of Trumpets. The rapture will be the fulfillment of the Jewish Feast of Trumpets:
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (KJV)
Knowledge of what lies ahead motivates people to prepare. Prophecy was intended to provide the kind of motivation needed to turn Sunday morning Christians who live at relative ease into Christian soldiers.
If Jesus is coming soon as the signs seem to indicate, then one's views on the timing of the rapture are crucial to being prepared to be an over comer in the difficult days before His coming.
Matthew 24:9-13 (New International Version)
9"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
REVELATION 6:
9When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10They called out in a loud voice, "How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?" 11Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.
Revelation 20:4
4I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Tribulation preparation has to do with more than storing food and gasoline, and providing a piece of land for sustenance. It has also to do with, and in fact begins with, spiritual conditioning.
To become spiritually prepared, you must reconcile yourself that God is in control. No matter what you do, think or say is of no consequence to God.
Regardless of when the Rapture actually occurs, you don't want to be caught by surprise without spiritual conditioning because the battle to accept or reject the "mark of the beast" will occur.
Once the mark is out in force, the masses will be forced to take sides immediately. They will either give themselves to the Kingdom of God by refusing to buy/sell using the system, or they will continue operating in the marketplace by receiving the mark.
How will you react to the idea that you may soon face the Antichrist, and all the venom that hell can dish out on God's children? Will you be able to stand firm?
Above and beyond the strengthening of our faith through our current experiences, spiritual preparation will be necessary for things we have not yet experienced, such as severe starvation, repeated cold nights, great despair, imminent death, murder, mass murder, etc.
It is not important whether you are a pre-tribe or mid-tribe or post-tribe ideology but that you are first and foremost born again and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and we stress personal.
It is not about going to church on Sunday, it’s not about do’s and dont's and it's not about trying to keep the 10 commandments, because we can’t.
What it is about, is what Jesus talked about when he gave the parable about the 5 virgins with the 5 lamp stands and that you are to be ready in season and out of season for the master of the house to return.
So in closing we would like to say that the term Rapture and the Theology isn't even in the Bible, it was invented by a person in the 1800's, so it suffices to say that there is really no such thing, infract part of the great Deception would be to let everyone think that the Christians of this generation are somehow better than the ones that all suffered persecution and death before us and some how we are not going to have to go through any kind of tribulation.. Well that is not biblical, but what if Satan and the Church could convince you would not have to suffer any of the trib and then cone to find out the scripture was right and we have to go through part of or all of it , then what do you think most Christians would do? .. Ah Yes they would turn away like Matthew 24:10 here states 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
AND THEN THERE IS THIS PASSAGE THAT PROVES THERE IS NO RAPTURE FOR SURE
REVELATION 6:
9When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10They called out in a loud voice, "How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?" 11Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.
"The 'last trump' refers to the Feast of Trumpets and the Jewish practice of blowing trumpets at this feast each year. During the ceremony, there is a series of short trumpet blasts of various lengths, concluding with the longest blast of all, called the tekiah gedolah: the great, or 'last trump.'
So we are to suffer for his name sake as Paul so plainly put it and we are to endure Testing , Trials and Tribulation, What would ever make anyone think we are better than the Christians that went before us, and also God does not want wimps he wants people who are willing to endure even un to death for him.. This is all part of being a true Christian and a true follower of Jesus Christ....
