Matthew 23

Seven Woes
1Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. 3So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

5"Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries[a] wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them 'Rabbi.' or FATHER

8"But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,'OR FATHER  for you have only one Master and you are all brothers. 9And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10Nor are you to be called 'teacher,' for you have one Teacher, the Christ.[b] 11The greatest among you will be your servant. 12For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

ARE We Following Sound Doctrine? The answer is NO!!!

2 Timothy 4:3

3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

There are some Church leaders that are spreading distorted doctrines that undermine the true teachings of the bible. These people are preaching heresy! Their teachings are leading people astray. Prosperity Teaching is all about you and what you can get, when it should be all about others and what you can give. "Prosperity" teaching is a proven money-maker for preachers. These people convince others that instant gratification and financial wealth are the proofs of your faith, and that we are to be focused on rewards in the here and now and not worry about our treasures in heaven.

Many TV preachers use prosperity teaching to pressure people into giving to their ministry. What it amounts to is a "Give-to-Get" doctrine that blatantly twists Scripture in order to make tele-evangelists wealthy.
